Nancy began playing golf at the age of eight years old at the encouragement of her parents who were both avid golfers. She played competitive golf as an amateur and continued to play collegiately at Western Kentucky University (1973-1977) where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Physical Education.

While working on her Master’s degree at Florida State University (1977-1979), she began her career in golf, as an assistant coach for the FSU women’s golf team. There, she received her Master of Science Degree with a major in Administration/Supervision and Curriculum of Physical Education.

A few years later she returned to her alma mater at Western Kentucky University (1979-1986) where she coached the women’s golf team as she continued to pursue her career as a golf professional.

Nancy has held the position of Head Professional/General Manager at Indian Hills Country Club in Bowling Green, KY (1979-1986) at the same time she was the Women’s Coach at Western Kentucky. She was the host professional for the LPGA Sara Lee Classic Tournament while at Hermitage Golf Course and also qualified to play in the inaugural Sara Lee in 1988.

In addition to her Head Professional and management duties, Nancy developed a strong following and outstanding reputation as a teacher of the game.
